Women’s Basic Handgun was developed by women, for women, to deliver fundamental skills and knowledge in a judgement-free environment, tailored to the way women prefer to learn. To that end, we start with basic topics to form a firm foundation that will keep you safe while developing your skill.  Specifically,  discussions will cover a variety of fundamental topics from “reasons we learn to shoot”, to “the best stance for effective shooting”, and “which eye to use for best accuracy”. Once we have discussed and illustrated how and why each skill helps you be safer, shoot better, and train more effectively, you will go hands-on. Starting with dummy guns to establish your grip and stance, then switching to real guns and real ammunition, shooting at targets.

Of course, we recognize that there are many possible reasons people learn how to shoot. Whatever your “why”, we will help you be safe and develop confidence while you learn to meet or exceed your goals.

Women’s Basic Handgun provides a safe, but casual learning experience, free of the judgment and critical review many have come to expect of the gun industry. The pace of each class will be determined by how quickly students are comfortable progressing.

Students are required to cancel at least 3 days in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 3 days before the class may be granted credit toward a future class.
