Has it been a while since you spent time on the range? Just need to get out of the house? Or, have you found that there’s no place to practice your skills? Range Day is the solution!
Range Day is a chance for Alumni to join me for some skills practice and advice. We will begin by reviewing basic handgun safety. Then you will have time and materials to drill what you want to practice. I will provide safety monitoring and respond to student questions and any shooting related topic: grip, stance, YouTube rumors, gear you might be considering, etc.
Special plans:Â I don’t want to ruin the surprise, but you won’t want to miss it!
Come out for as long or as little time as you like. I’ll be there and setup to start from noon to 4p. We’ll work folks in as they come and go.
Students are required to cancel at least 3 days in advance of a class date in order to receive a full refund. Classes cancelled less than 3 days before the class may be granted credit toward a future class.
Range Day will include a minimum of the following:
Basic safety review
Range Etiquette review
Student Q&A
Target practice
Training drill assistance
What to bring for Range Day
Required for each Participant:
Great attitude, willingness to have fun, and eagerness to learn!
Head gear: Hat, ball cap, or other brimmed head-wear to protect you from the sun and potential flying/floating debris.
Eye protection: Shooting glasses, prescription glasses, sunglasses, or other suitable tempered protective eyewear.
Hearing protection: Ear plugs or ear muffs are required. Electronic ear muffs are preferred, for those who have access to them.
IMPORTANT:Â Closed-toed, comfortable shoes. We will be standing a lot. Bring something comfortable, with a thick enough sole to protect your feet while walking on expended brass, gravel and/or dirt.
Ammunition: As much ammunition as you have time to shoot. I will bring 9mm and 40S&W for purchase and use on the range. If you need anything else, please let me know at least three days in advance, or bring your own.
Recommended For Each Participant:
Equipment: Any additional equipment you may have (speed loaders, extra magazines, holsters, etc.)
Cool drinking water. We will be working outside. Regardless of the weather, you will need to be drinking to stay safe and healthy. IMPORTANT: Limit or avoid caffeine intake for 12hrs prior to training outdoors to prevent dehydration and heat related injuries.
Sunscreen: We will have limited cover and you will be exposed to the weather during all exercises.
Snacks: You will be burning a lot of calories.
IMPORTANT! … This is an Invitation Only event! Please contact me via email to request participation. This is me Giving Thanks to students who’ve been working with me all year to improve their skills and keep my business fun and rewarding.
