“Handgun selection & safety” is your opportunity to learn the features and functions of the most popular types of handguns in a safe environment. After learning the basics of firearms safety, and the core features that separate one handgun type from another, shooters get hands-on experience. You will learn the pros and cons of the most popular types of handguns, and you will have an opportunity to fire several.

This class is for anybody considering purchasing a handgun, who is not quite sure what to buy.  The goal of “Handgun selection & safety” is to give your a firm foundation on which to make your first/next purchase. You will have a better understanding of what you like and don’t like, and the common terms to express your preferences to your local gun store.

• Basic marksmanship
• Basic legal obligations surrounding handgun ownership
• Legal gun storage & transportation
• Recommended follow-up training

^☨ Explanation of supplemental charges:
Ammunition costs have been dropping. So to keep the cost of the class lower for you and me, the cost of ammunition is not included in this class. The cost will be calculated after you finish shooting, to avoid limiting your learning and enjoyment through the need to count rounds. To that end, you will receive an additional invoice for the cost of ammunition when the class is complete. You may request up to two additional weeks to pay the supplemental invoice. Current supplemental costs range from $25-$50 per student, average.
